Tandoori Chicken is the dish that started it all – the foundation of tandoor cooking and the ancestor of Butter Chicken and Tikka Masala. At SPICE ROOM, we prepare this iconic dish the way it's been made for centuries in Punjab.
Our chicken is marinated for 24 hours in a blend of yogurt, Kashmiri red chili (for color without excessive heat), ginger, garlic, and a carefully balanced spice mix. This long marination ensures the flavors penetrate deep into the meat while the yogurt tenderizes it.
The marinated chicken is then cooked in our blazing clay tandoor at temperatures exceeding 800°F. The intense radiant heat creates a beautiful charred exterior while locking in all the juices. The result is smoky, tender, and bursting with flavor – served sizzling with grilled onions, lemon wedges, and mint chutney.
